Fair Ways partner with Madlug C.I.C

Fair Ways are proud to announce an agreement to partner with Madlug C.I.C., a community interest company; with the aim of providing children in care with high-quality, ethically manufactured backpacks.

Madlug C.I.C is a ‘for purpose’ company that was founded in 2015 by social entrepreneur Dave Linton because no child in care should carry their life in a bin bag.

As part of the agreement, all children in care with Fair Ways will receive Madlug products free of charge. Additionally, all Fair Ways staff will have the opportunity to purchase Madlug products at a discounted rate, as a thank you for their hard work and ongoing commitment.

Speaking after the agreement, Fair Ways Managing Director, Gareth Webb said: “I am really happy to announce Madlug as a partner. We are constantly looking at ways to improve the lives of children and young adults in care and are happy to have found Madlug who match our passion and ambition.”

As part of their social impact, Madlug works with organisations that provide services to looked after children and provide them with the required products to help them make their way with dignity.

A C.I.C (Community Interest Company) is a type of company introduced by the United Kingdom government in 2005 under the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Act 2004, designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for the public good.
