Celebrating 20 Years of Manor Farm Cottage Residential Children’s Home

There was plenty to celebrate at Manor Farm Cottage recently, as the Fair Ways Residential Children’s Home marked an incredible milestone. 20 years of providing safe, nurturing and therapeutic care for children and young people.

To commemorate the occasion, the home hosted a fantastic celebration filled with fun, laughter and community spirit. Children and the Fair Ways team enjoyed a BBQ, a bouncy castle, party games and of course, a very special anniversary cake. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the home’s journey whilst celebrating the people who make Manor Farm Cottage such a special place to live and work.

For two decades, Manor Farm Cottage has been dedicated to creating a warm, supportive environment where children and young people can feel safe, valued and empowered to reach their full potential. Through trauma-informed care, strong relationships and unwavering commitment from the team, the home has helped countless children build confidence, resilience and brighter futures.

The celebrations come at an especially exciting time for the home, following the recent achievement of an Outstanding rating from Ofsted for the second consecutive inspection. Receiving the highest possible grading once is a remarkable accomplishment, but achieving it twice in a row is a true reflection of the exceptional care, dedication and professionalism demonstrated by every member of the Manor Farm team.

Reflecting on the milestone, the anniversary was not only a chance to celebrate the home’s history but also to recognise the incredible people behind its success. From long-serving team members to new colleagues, everyone has played an important role in creating a place where children feel supported, encouraged and cared for every day.

As Fair Ways looks ahead to the future, Manor Farm Cottage remains committed to delivering outstanding care and continuing to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.
