Manor Farm Cottage Retains Outstanding Ofsted Rating

We are delighted to share that Manor Farm Cottage, one of our residential children’s homes in Hampshire, has once again been rated Outstanding by Ofsted following its latest inspection in March 2026.

The inspection found that Manor Farm Cottage continues to provide highly effective services that consistently exceed the standards of good, helping children achieve significantly improved outcomes and positive experiences.

Inspectors praised the home’s structured and highly personalised approach to care, noting that children are supported by staff who have a comprehensive understanding of their individual needs, strengths, and aspirations. As a result, children feel safe, settled, and make significant and sustained progress in their behaviour, wellbeing, and independence.

The report highlighted the warm, trusting relationships between staff and children, with inspectors recognising that children feel listened to, valued and confident that their views matter. Staff were described as passionate, committed and ambitious for the children in their care, enabling them to make exceptional progress from their starting points.

Ofsted also recognised the home’s strong focus on helping children develop meaningful lifelong connections, with former residents continuing to maintain contact years after leaving the service – a testament to the lasting positive impact Manor Farm Cottage has on the lives of young people.

In the areas of safeguarding and leadership, Manor Farm Cottage also achieved Outstanding judgements. Inspectors commended managers for being inspirational and highly effective, creating a culture where children are at the centre of everything they do. Strong partnership working with education, health, social care, and therapeutic professionals was also highlighted as a key factor in achieving outstanding outcomes for children.

The report noted overwhelmingly positive feedback from families and professionals, who praised the quality of support provided and the dedication of staff in understanding and meeting each child’s individual needs.
