Fair Ways Fort Wallington School Celebrates a Memorable First End-of-Year Prom

Students and staff at Fair Ways’ Fort Wallington School came together on Friday evening to celebrate a truly special milestone, the school’s first-ever end-of-year Prom.

Held in Lee-on-the-Solent, the event marked a memorable evening of celebration, reflection and achievement for the young people of Fort Wallington School. Dressed in their finest attire, students enjoyed an evening filled with music, dancing, delicious food and refreshments.

The Prom represented far more than just an end-of-year celebration. It was the culmination of years of aspiration and planning, providing students with an opportunity to experience a milestone event that recognises their hard work, personal growth and achievements throughout the year.

The evening was a tremendous success, with students receiving high praise from the venue team for their exceptional behaviour, politeness and courtesy throughout the event. Such was the positive impression left by the students that the venue has expressed its enthusiasm for hosting future Fort Wallington celebrations.

Reflecting on the evening, Headteacher, Thomas Backaller said:

“Friday evening saw Fort Wallington School host our first-ever end-of-year Prom. This was an event many years in the making, and I am immensely proud to say that it was a resounding success. It is events like this that make me immensely proud to be the Head of this wonderful school. Thank you to all the staff, students and parents and carers who made it happen, especially the students who helped plan this amazing event.”

The success of the evening was a testament to the dedication and collaboration of everyone involved. Our team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring the event to life, parents and carers supported preparations, and students themselves played a key role in helping to plan and shape the celebration.
