When searching for a new job, salary is only one part of the picture. The right employer will also invest in your wellbeing, career development and work-life balance.
At Fair Ways, we believe that looking after our team members enables them to provide the very best care, support and education to the children and families we work with. As a charity, every decision we make is centred around making a positive difference, not only for those we support, but for the dedicated people who make that possible every day. Fair Ways reinvests its surplus back into the charity, helping to improve services while continuing to invest in our workforce.
If you’re looking for children’s residential care jobs, support worker jobs, teaching jobs, therapeutic careers or social care careers, here’s why Fair Ways could be the perfect place to build your future.
Every role at Fair Ways contributes towards improving the lives of children and families. Whether you’re working in one of our Residential Children’s Homes, Schools, Fostering, Family Services or Central Support teams, you’ll be part of a charity driven by our values, purpose, compassion and innovation. Our teams don’t simply come to work, they help children build brighter futures.

We know that employee benefits should genuinely improve your everyday life. That’s why we’ve created a package that goes beyond the basics.
Everyone needs time to recharge. Fair Ways employees receive a minimum of 28 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing through our length of service scheme to 32 days. We also offer the opportunity to purchase up to five additional days of annual leave, giving you even greater flexibility to enjoy the things that matter most.
Supporting children and young people is incredibly rewarding, but we also recognise that it can be emotionally demanding. That’s why employee wellbeing is embedded into our culture.
Our benefits include:
Looking after our team’s mental health isn’t an afterthought, it’s part of who we are. Fair Ways has continued to develop and expand its wellbeing support to ensure employees receive the help they need whenever they need it.
Joining Fair Ways isn’t just about finding your next job, it’s about building a long-term career. We invest heavily in learning and development through:
Whether you’re beginning your career in care or looking to progress into management, we’ll support you every step of the way. We describe staff development and investment as a core part of our culture – because our people are our greatest asset.
Our people work hard, so we like to recognise and reward them. Employees can benefit from:
These are just some of the additional ways we thank our teams for everything they do.

Working for a charity means your work has purpose beyond your individual role. Unlike many organisations, Fair Ways reinvests its surplus back into developing services, supporting team members and improving outcomes for children, young people and families. That means when you join Fair Ways, you’re becoming part of a charity committed to making a lasting difference, not maximising profits.
We’re proud of our culture. Our teams are supportive, collaborative and passionate about making a difference. We celebrate success, encourage innovation and believe everyone deserves to feel valued at work.
We’re always looking for compassionate, motivated people to join us across our teams across all our services; Residential Children’s Homes, Schools, Fostering and Family Sservices.
