All Seasons Rated Good in First Ofsted Inspection

All Seasons, one of Fair Ways Residential Children’s Homes, has been rated Good in its first Ofsted inspection. All our Fair Ways Ofsted regulated services hold a Good or Outstanding rating. 

The inspection, carried out in November 2025, praised the warm and nurturing environment created for children, alongside the dedication of staff in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care. Inspectors noted that children living at the home are making positive progress, feel safe and supported, and benefit from strong, trusting relationships with the staff team.

A warm, welcoming home

Inspectors described All Seasons House as beautifullymaintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Children are happy with their bedrooms, and repairs and maintenance are addressed swiftly, ensuring the home remains comfortable and well cared for.

Staff were praised for their deep understanding of each child’s background and individual needs, using personalised approaches to support children during difficult moments. Meaningful key-work sessions help build strong relationships and encourage open, supportive conversations.

Therapeutic support from The Hub, Fair Ways’ therapeutic service, was highlighted as a key strength. This input helps staff respond with patience, empathy and nurture, creating a family-like environment where children feel accepted and able to be themselves without judgement.

Supporting health, education and everyday life

Children’s day-to-day healthcare needs are managed through close working relationships with external professionals, including CAMHS. Education support is tailored to each child, with staff helping young people gradually re-engage with learning and providing calm, supportive spaces when full-time education is not yet appropriate.

Inspectors also noted that children are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities, helping them explore new interests, stay active and build positive links within the local community.

Children feel safe and protected

The inspection found that children’s safety is central to staff practice. Staff manage challenging situations using nurturing language and a trauma-informed approach. Any physical intervention is brief, proportionate and carefully recorded, with reflective practice used to support learning and improvement.

Children feel able to share worries or concerns, and are supported appropriately through the complaints process. Robust systems are in place for medication management, accident reporting and safeguarding, with strong oversight from managers.

Safer recruitment across the organisation was described as thorough, ensuring that children are cared for by suitable, well-checked staff.

Strong leadership and a commitment to improvement

Leaders and managers were praised for their passion, integrity and clear focus on continuous improvement. Inspectors found that managers have a strong understanding of the home’s strengths and areas for development, supported by an active improvement plan.

Staff benefit from regular training, reflective team meetings and therapeutic support, helping them feel valued and equipped to meet children’s needs. Children are cared for by a consistent staff team, with flexible arrangements in place to maintain continuity and stability.
