Following the ongoing success of Fair Ways in Bloom, we wanted to create another event that celebrates the creativity, collaboration and talents of our young people – something fun, inspiring, and just a little bit sweet. Enter Fair Ways Bake Off! After all, who doesn’t love cake?
But the Bake Off was never just about baking. This competition involved much more than mixing flour and sugar – it was a full experience. From budgeting and buying ingredients, planning intricate cake designs and decorating with flair, to preparing visual presentations and speaking confidently in front of judges and a live audience, every stage encouraged learning, teamwork and personal growth.
And what a journey it was.
From the initial Easter-themed bakes to the unforgettable final, our judges were truly amazed by the quality and imagination on display. The Bake Off Final was one of the most uplifting events we’ve ever held at Fair Ways. The room buzzed with excitement, the pride on the faces of our young people was unmistakable, and their presentations were confident, creative and heartfelt.
We’re thrilled to share that this idea has now become an annual event thanks to the enthusiasm, effort and dedication of so many.
