Take part and represent Fair Ways at the Great South Run!

Want to make a real difference to the lives of children and families, and are free on Sunday 18th October? It is now under 6 weeks until a group of runners are representing Fair Ways at the Great South Run, and there is still time for you to join Team Fair Ways!

Whether you’re an experienced runner, just getting started, or run for fun, running for Fair Ways is a fantastic way to challenge yourself while also helping to make a difference.

Why Fair Ways?

By choosing to run and represent Fair Ways at the Great South Run, you’ll be helping us continue our work supporting children and families across our services, whether that be in our schools, foster homes, our family centres or residential children’s homes.

When you sign up to run for Fair Ways, you’ll receive:

  • A Fair Ways running vest or T-shirt to wear with pride on race day
  • A goodie bag
  • Access to a designated free bag drop location, so you can leave your belongings somewhere safe while you run
  • A noisy and supportive Fair Ways team of supporters to cheer you along the way
  • Your own official fundraising page, which you can share with friends, family and colleagues to help raise money before the big day

Most importantly, you’ll be part of Team Fair Ways and helping raise awareness and funds for a charity committed to making a positive difference.

How to sign up?

1. Visit the Great South Run website

Head to the official Great South Run registration page and begin your sign-up.

2. Choose to run for a charity

During the registration process, you’ll be asked whether you would like to run for a charity. When prompted to select your charity, choose “Other”.

3. Select Fair Ways

After selecting “Other” and paying for your place in the race, you’ll be taken through to a further list of charity partners. Look for and select Fair Ways. By selecting Fair Ways, you’ll officially be registered to take part in the Great South Run as a Fair Ways fundraiser.

4. Set up your fundraising page

Once you have signed up, you’ll be given an official fundraising page. This is a fantastic way to get your fundraising started. Share your page with your friends, family, colleagues and social networks and let them know why you’re taking on the challenge for Fair Ways.

Every donation, no matter the size, can help us continue our work supporting children, young people and families.

5. Get ready to run!

Once you’re signed up, it’s time to start preparing for the big day! As part of Team Fair Ways, we’ll provide you with a WhatsApp group you can join, social media images you can share, and a Fair Ways running vest or T-shirt, so you can proudly represent the charity as you take on the Great South Run. You’ll also receive a goodie bag and have access to a designated free bag drop location on the day.

So, what is stopping you? Sign up, choose Fair Ways, start fundraising and make a difference to children in your local area.

Get your running shoes ready, we will see you there!
