Fair Ways contact service offers the opportunity for families to reestablish a relationship between them in a safe environment when families have experienced a breakdown or separation.

We have two locations where we can offer our service one in Fareham, Portsmouth and the other in Lordswood, Southampton. We also offer contact to take place in the community.

Fair Ways Contact Centre is under new management and currently accepting new referrals.

Our Southampton Centre has two contact rooms and an enclosed garden. The communal areas also have the benefit of CCTV.

Our Fareham Centre has a games room suitable for older children and a range of rooms available. It is very conveniently located by junction 11 of the M27.

We are able to provide experienced contact supervisors for supervised, supported, community and hand-overs.

We have a team of experienced contact supervisors who can support and record contact sessions for court or CAFCASS.

Supervised Contact

This contact is fully supervised and all of the contact session is accurately recorded on our system. Often these notes are provided to the local authorities to be shared in the court arena. The recorded notes are sent out to both parents so they have a clear overview of what is happening during the contact sessions.

Supported contacts

This allows children to see a family member in a safe environment in one of our two centres. You will have an allocated worker to oversee the time you spend between you and your child. An experienced member of staff will be available to support you if required.

Community contact

We offer contacts in the community allowing children to spend time outside of a centre with their family member and a member of staff.

We can offer community contacts as supported or supervised with notes.

Travel

We are able to offer a transporting service if required for an additional cost. Transporting the child to and from the contact.

Handover Service

Allowing parents to use our Southampton Centre to provide a handover of children from one family member to the other, without the need for parent’s paths to cross. This allows the child/children to have a positive and safe experience when seeing family members.
