Fair Ways selected to join ‘Light The South’ Campaign with Southampton Hospitals Charity

Fair Ways is excited to announce our inclusion and selection to join Light The South; the 2024 Southampton Hospitals Charity campaign. Fair Ways has been selected to design one of forty mini lighthouses that will be publically displayed in Southampton and / or Cowes.

Fair Ways team at Fair Ways School in Swanwick led the application for our involvement in 2024, and were delighted when told we had been selected as one of the local education groups. With over 700 applications in this category alone, this represents a real success and opportunity for Fair Ways and our students.

Southampton Hospitals Charity will be lighting up the South with a large-scale public art event that promises to captivate your senses and ignite your imagination.

There will be 40 magnificent 8ft lighthouse sculptures on display through the streets and public spaces of Southampton and Cowes, each one a unique masterpiece designed by local and well-renowned artists, plus 40 mini lighthouses designed by local education groups such as Fair Ways, creating a family-friendly trail of discovery for visitors and residents to enjoy and explore.

The lighthouses will then be displayed together for a Farewell event in September 2024 which will be a chance to see all lighthouses gathered in one place, a truly unique sight. The sculptures will then go into auction to raise vital funds for Southampton Children’s Hospital.
