Level 3 Diploma For Residential Childcare


The Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare has been specifically designed for you if you work in residential care with children in a care role. If you’re a new Residential Care Worker, you’ll need to achieve this qualification within two years of employment.

Course Aims

Assessment

To achieve the Level 3 Diploma you will be assessed on the following –

  • Evidence of your knowledge and understanding as well as well your practical competence in the real working environment.
  • Your performance through observations or witness testimonies.
  • Knowledge through assignments, work products, professional discussion and group work.

Course Criteria

  • 85% attendance (if attending taught classroom sessions)
  • Portfolio (made up of your knowledge and performance evidence)
