About the Role
This is a brand new role, reporting to our Post 16 Operations Manager. The key responsibilities are to develop, tailor and review an effective life skills programme for Post 16 Service users, in line with Outcome Star. The goal is for this to be available in a variety of mediums that aims to promote engagement and adequately prepare young people for the difficult transition into adult life. You will work closely with our Education Specialist and our Training Department to ensure our young people in the Post 16 service get the best opportunities and that progress and achievement is capture and celebrated.
Our ideal candidate will have a relevant childcare or youth work qualification and proven experience working in a setting delivering services to teenagers in the care system. You will have the ability to engage with teams and individuals to promote their understanding of the resources available to them and will be used to working to outcome measurement tools. Overall, you will have the ability to work with emotional intelligence, resilience and maturity and offer a balanced perspective. Applicants must have a full driving licence and have access to use of a car. Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced disclosure (DBS). The disclosure cost will be met by Fair Ways.
