Nurturing Attachments

We are proud to deliver this 18 week course to all our carers. Based on Dan Hughes’ highly successful PACE model, and developed by KIM Golding, our experienced therapists and social workers deliver this practical, experiential course to groups of 8 carers at a time.

Skills to Foster Training

This is standard training for all foster carers prior to registering as a carer. Drawn from nationally recognised industry standard training resources, we have adapted the course to reflect the needs of the organisation and our carers.

Induction training

Prior to having your first young person placed, we ensure all carers attend our post-registration induction week. This intensive course is aimed at ensuring you are armed with all the more formal, administrative skills and knowledge associated with the task of fostering, thus enabling you to confidently demonstrate safe, professional and accountable practice. The course includes:

  • Safeguarding Training
  • Recording and Reporting
  • Professional Boundaries
  • Health and Safety
  • First Aid
  • TEAM TEACH De-Escalation techniques
