Specialising in both social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties and autism (ASC), at Fair Ways Transition Centre, our primary focus is for staff to support students in their transitional period either to full-time education or towards a working career. This is achieved in collaboration with their Education Health Plan (EHP).
Offering 1:1 or 2:1 staffing, our staff are trained to identify and react to some of the most extreme behaviours.
Students at our Transition Centre are aged between 14 - 19 and are looking to transition to further education or future career plans.
We only allow a maximum of up to 10 students to join our Transition Centre at any one time so we can focus on each student's needs.
Students attending Fair Ways Transition Centre will have the opportunity to access:
Interview technique skills and CV writing
Duke of Edinburgh Award
Functional skills (English & Maths) and ICT
Independent Life Skills
Preparation for Working Life
Access taster days at colleges/work experience
In addition to the services that can be offered at our other school sites, students at the Transition Centre will also have access to a wide range of activities and courses:
