We're here to help

We understand that the topic of school can be stressful and cause anxiety, but Fair Ways School will help you every step of the way. Our staff are world-class and are experienced in dealing with a wide range of difficult situations.

Admission Process

Students are referred to Fair Ways School because the severity and diversity of their needs cannot be met in other local schools or special provisions. Referrals to Fair Ways Education are generally made through the Local Authority in which the child lives; either for educational or social reasons.

Please contact the school who will be happy to arrange a walk around and talk through the processes in place to support our students. Once the decision is made to go ahead with the referral, staff from the school will visit the prospective student in their current school or at home to carry out a pre-placement assessment and design a 6-week transition timetable.

Parents Meetings

Parent support meetings are provided as a platform where parents and carers can share information about their children’s behaviour and educational experience.

We provide a facilitated environment where difficult feelings and behaviours can be explored. Facilitators also provide parents and carers with support and techniques to manage behaviour at home, and, in time, develop an understanding of different forms of communication.

Fair Ways strongly promote the sharing of information between parents, carers and the school in order to achieve the best possible outcome for the child; supporting their social learning and enhancing their engagement within their academic lessons. The aim is to provide a consistent approach in managing behaviour and emotions between the School and parents.
